EasyView

EasyView Roller Shutters

The EasyView is a roller shutter built from a combination of precision extruded aluminium and UV-resistant polycarbonate profile, installed by LT Doors across Wollongong and the Illawarra. Unlike a standard aluminium shutter, EasyView keeps a clear or tinted see-through section so you can close the shutter without losing outdoor views or natural light.

Built for Wollongong's coastal conditions

EasyView suits low to medium wind environments, which covers most sheltered patios, verandahs and alfresco areas around Wollongong — from courtyard homes in Kembla Grange to newer estates in Calderwood and Tullimbar. For homes exposed to wind above 25km/h, such as elevated or coastal-facing blocks, we'll check the specifications with you and, where needed, bring in an engineer before quoting, since high wind exposure isn't covered under the standard warranty.

what LT doors thinks

EasyView earns its place on outdoor living areas specifically because of the polycarbonate section — you get a shutter that closes down for privacy, security or weather without turning your patio into a sealed box. It's not the shutter we'd recommend for a bushfire-prone block or somewhere security is the main concern; for those, the FireSafe or LockSafe are the better fit. But for verandahs, alfresco dining areas and shopfronts where you still want to see out, it's the one we install most.

Key features

  • Construction: high-quality aluminium alloy and polycarbonate, commercial-grade double wall extruded profile
  • Vision panel: UV-resistant 60mm polycarbonate profile, with 20% more light and visibility than the previous version
  • Bottom bar: high-rigidity design, compatible with bottom bar foot fitting
  • Finish: high-quality powder-coated finish for maximum abrasion resistance
  • Axle: heavy-duty steel with internal sealed bearings
  • Widespan: suitable up to 4400mm wide
  • Operation: roll-tight design, fully retractable into an enclosed pelmet, manual or motorised
  • Made in Australia

What makes the EasyView different

Most roller shutters are solid aluminium end to end — good for security and blackout, but they shut off outdoor views entirely. EasyView's dual aluminium/polycarbonate profile is a genuine hybrid construction, not a shutter with a few gaps cut in it, so the vision panel holds the same commercial-grade double-wall strength as the rest of the curtain.

Colours and finishes

Profile options include Cream, Magnolia Cream, Clear Beige, White, Shale Grey, Black, Monument, Anodised Silver, Woodland Grey, plus Clear Polycarbonate and Tinted Polycarbonate for the vision section. Pelmets, side frames, guides and bottom bars are available in Cream, Magnolia Cream, Clear Beige, White, Shale Grey, Brown, Black, Monument and Woodland Grey, with powder-coated options available at extra cost.

Which roller shutter should you choose?

If seeing outdoors while the shutter is closed matters most, EasyView is the pick. If your property is in a bushfire-prone or high-vegetation area, compare the FireSafe. If security against forced entry is the priority, compare the LockSafe. All three can be fitted with PowerSmart or SolarSmart Plus automation.

Installation, warranty and upgrades

Measured, supplied and installed by LT Doors' licensed local team, backed by a written workmanship guarantee. EasyView can be manually operated or motorised — popular upgrades include the PowerSmart 12V control system or SolarSmart Plus solar automation, both of which avoid the need for an electrician.
